Choose the desired weather coverage options.
5) Turn the large FMS Knob to select the ‘Update Rate’ field. Then turn the small FMS Knob
to highlight the desired automatic update frequency (Off, 5 Min, 10 Min, 15 Min, 20 Min,
30 Min, 45 Min, or 60 Min), then press the
ENT Key.
6) The ‘Send Request’ field is highlighted and a countdown timer is displayed in the
‘Request Status’ Window based on the currently selected update rate. Press the
ENT Key
to immediately send an immediate Connext Data Request.

WaRNING: Do not use the indicated data link weather product age to determine the
age of the weather information shown by the data link weather product. Due to time
delays inherent in gathering and processing weather data for data link transmission,
the weather information shown by the data link weather product may be older than
the indicated weather product age.

Select the ‘Map - Weather Data Link (XM)’ Page.
2) Press the

Softkey.
Enabling/disabling NEXRad weather information on MFd navigation maps:

Press the
Map opt
Softkey.

Press the NEXRad Softkey.
Enabling/disabling NEXRad weather information on PFd maps:
1)
Press the Map/HSI Softkey.
2)
Press the NEXRad Softkey.
Changing the NEXRad coverage region:
1)
Select the ‘Map - Weather Data Link (XM)’ Page.
2) Press the MENU Key.
3) Turn the large
FMS
Knob to highlight ‘Weather Setup’ and press the
ENT
Key.
4)
Turn the large FMS Knob to highlight the 'NEXRAD Region' datafield.
5)
Turn the small FMS Knob to highlight ‘US’ or ‘CNDA’ (Canada) and press the ENT Key.
