NoTE: The pilot/operator must have access to Garmin and Jeppesen database alerts
and consider their impact on the intended aircraft operation. The database alerts can
be viewed at www.flyGarmin.com by selecting ‘Aviation Database Alerts.’
NoTE: Do not rely solely upon datalink services to provide Temporary Flight Restriction
(TFR) information. Always confirm TFR information through official sources such as
Flight Service Stations or Air Traffic Control.
Selecting preferred charts source:
1)
While viewing a chart press the
MENU
Softkey to display the ‘Page Menu.’
2)
Turn the large FMS Knob to highlight the ‘Charts Setup’ Menu option and press the ENT
Key.
3)
Turn the large FMS Knob to move to the ‘Preferred Charts Source’ option.
4) Turn the small FMS Knob to choose between the available options (FliteCharts or
ChartView).

Selecting terminal procedures charts:
While viewing the ‘Map - Navigation Map’ Page, ‘NRST - Nearest Airport’ Page, or ‘FPL -
Active Flight Plan’ Page, press the
Charts
Softkey.
or :
1)
Press the MENU Key to display the ‘Page Menu.’
2) Turn the large FMS Knob to scroll through the ‘Options’ Menu to ‘Chart Mode On’ or
‘Charts’ appropriately.
3) Press the
ENT
Key to display the chart.
4) After the chart is displayed, press the
Menu
Key and select the desired type of chart (e.g.,
Show departure Page
,
Show arrival Page
,
Show approach Page
, etc.) and press the
ENT
Key to display the chart.
Selecting a chart:
1)
While viewing the ‘Map - Navigation Map’ Page, ‘FPL - Active Flight Plan’ Page, or ‘NRST
- Nearest Airports’ Page, press the
Charts Softkey. The airport diagram or approach chart
is displayed on the ‘WPT - Airport Information’ Page.
2) Press the
FMS
Knob to activate the cursor.
3)
Turn the large FMS Knob to select either the ‘Airport’ Identifier Box or the ‘Charts’ Box.
(Press the
aPR
Softkey if not already selected).
4)
Turn the small and large FMS Knob to enter the desired airport identifier.
