Load the centrifuge collar into the centrifuge collar holder (see
Figure 4-12). Ensure the collar holder securely holds the collar, both
black sides of the holder are equally closed around the collar, and an
edge between two of the collar’s six sides is facing out. Ensure one of
the collar’s six sides is
not facing out (see Figure 4-13).

Snap the cover over the collar.

Push the filler latch down into the locked position.

All procedures except LRST procedures: Press the channel into
position. Start at the collection chamber and inlet chamber
(Figure 4-11) and work around to the opposite side of the channel.
Press the channel partway into position all the way around, then go
back and press it all the way in. Ensure the channel is completely
loaded in the filler. If the channel has an LRS chamber, the chamber
should easily fall into the LRS bracket.
LRST procedures: Press the channel into position as follows:
a Insert the control chamber into the filler.
b Insert the channel near the yellow plasma line.
c Bend the channel slightly near the dam to make it easier to
load, then insert it at the dam.
d Insert the rest of the channel. You may need to gently stretch
the channel to ease it in. Rotate the filler as you work your way
around the channel.
e Go back and firmly press the channel into the filler. Ensure the
channel is
completely seated in the filler at the dam(to prevent
RBC spillovers). The LRS chamber should easily fall into the
LRS bracket.

Note: Channels with an LRS chamber: Ensure the LRS
chamber is properly positioned over the chamber bracket
before you continue. DO NOT pull on the tubing to load the
chamber; this can damage the tubing.
