The BPM can be tested for the following:

“INFLATION””, if the inflation time is out of limits
the pump is not effective enough or the system is
leaking.
“DEFLATION”, if the deflation time is out of limits
the valves in the BPM is not working correctly.
“AIRLEAKAGE”, if the leakage is out of limit from
the cuff or from the BPM to the cuff.
“STATIC PRESSURE”, the accuracy of the pressure
transducer is checked against an external reference
instrument.
