Electrical Safety Inspections for AK-machines

PLT - Patient Earth Leakage Current Test

1.

Let the machine pass FCH.

2.

The safety couplings of the dialysis fluid tubes shall be con-

nected to the safety tester via an accesspoint.

Note!

 There must be a main flow during this test. Check that the 

Bypass button is switched off.

3.

Measure the patient leakage current with the safety tester.

4.

Take the highest AC-reading when the machine is running.

5.

Take the highest DC-reading when the machine is running.

6.

Invert the phases of the mains voltage. The machine might 

restart.

7.

Take the highest AC-reading when the machine is running.

8.

Take the highest DC-reading when the machine is running.

9.

Check that the highest measured readings don’t exceed the limit 

values in following table:

NOTE

Make sure that the machine does not perform a taration (self calibration) 
during the measurements.
