Service Technicians Guide
1. Hygiene group
These buttons are used to select machine modes
mainly related to disinfection, rinsing and
draining of the fluid unit and the mixing unit.
Any button in this group must be pressed for at
least 3 sec. before the function is activated. An
active mode is indicated by a lit button. For
draining of the AK 95 S, press the Rinse/Drain
button twice.
In the Hygiene-group, the buttons must be kept
depressed for at least 3 seconds to activate the
function.
2. Mode group
The buttons in this group are used to select
different treatment modes.
Any button in this group must be pressed for at
least 3 sec. before the function is activated. An
active mode is indicated by a lit button. In the
Mode group, the buttons must be kept depressed
for at least 3 seconds to activate the function.
3. Treatment overview group
This group graphically shows the status of the
treatment and allows for a complete overview of
all important treatment parameters.

Setting of a parameter can generally be de-
scribed as follow:
1. Press the wanted parameter button.
The actual information will be displayed on the
information display.
2. Press the
(select key) until the parameter
you want to change is flashing.
Set the value by turning the Set knob.
The Bar graph displays operate as follows:
• Red bars for alarm limits
• Yellow bars for actual value
• Green bars for set value
For more details, see next page.
The five buttons in the center, have no Bargraph
displays, but the corresponding information for
heparin and time is displayed when the buttons
are pressed.
4. Stand-by group
These buttons can be used for direct control and
stand-by of certain functions.
Is used to stop and start the blood pump.
Is used to silence the buzzer at an alarm.
If the alarm is serious the buzzer is muted only
for 30 seconds when the button is pressed.
Fluid
bypass
Is used to bypass the dialysis fluid from the
dialyzer.
START
UF
STOP
Is used for initiation and termination of
treatment. It should normally not be pressed
during treatment. In the Service mode this
button is used for storing calibration values.
Alarm buttons
The alarm buttons are placed to the right of the
flow picture. These are normally not lit.
If a buzzer signal is combined with
,
attention from the operator is required.
A buzzer signal combined with
, indicates a
technical error. For more information see page
4:6.
The buzzer will be silenced with
or with the
corresponding alarm key.
