Item
Setting
Description
O/S Boot Timeout
• Disabled (At the time of
purchase)
• Enabled
Sets to enable the OS Boot Monitoring function or
not, when ServerView is installed to the OS. When
this function is enabled, if for some reason booting
the operating system is interrupted, the system will
automatically restart.
The OS Boot Monitoring function can also be
enabled or disabled from ServerView.
Note:
If ServerView is not installed to the OS, make
sure to set the item to [Disabled]. If the setting
is [Enabled], the server may automatically turn
off or restart improperly.
Even when ServerView is installed to the OS,
if starting the system while the ServerStart
CD-ROM or DOS floppy disk is inside, make
sure to disable the OS Boot Monitoring
function. If the system is started with this
function enabled, the server may
automatically turn off or restart improperly.
When setting this function, refer to
"ServerView User’s Guide" to fully learn about
its specifications and operation methods, in
order to use it properly with the correct
settings.
