7.4.3 How to Install an Expansion Card

This section explains how to install an expansion card when a basic card slot is used.

 

For a basic card slot conversion kit (optional), follow the same procedure.

Turn off the server and remove the top cover.

Touch a metal part of the server to discharge static electricity.

Loosen the screws on the rear of the server, and remove the PCI riser card 

locking frame.

Install an expansion card to the PCI riser card locking frame.
