You might not be able to enter common phrases depending the
Character Entry (Edit) display.
p
The called-up contents of common phrases vary depending on the
input mode. In Kanji/Hiragana mode [Mode 1 (5-touch), Mode 3 (T9
Input)] or Full-pitch input mode [Mode 2 (2-touch)], Kanji/Hiragana
common phrases are called up, and in other mode, half-pitch katakana
common phrases are called up.

When the number of entered characters have exceeded the maximum,
a confirmation display to that effect appears. Select “YES” to enter
common phrases to the maximum extent.
<Line feed>
p
A line feed is counted as one full-pitch character.
p
You cannot break a line depending on the function such as editing in
the text box for i-mode.
<Symbols>
p
Symbols to be displayed differ depending on the Character Entry (Edit)
display or input mode. Only the symbols that can be used only are
displayed.
<Pictograph>
p
You might not be able to enter characters depending on the Character
Entry (Edit) display.
<Quote phonebook> <Quote own number>
p
When you quote a postal address, you cannot quote “
〒
” or “-”.
p
When the quoted characters contain the ones that cannot be entered, a
confirmation display appears telling those characters are converted into
spaces; then they are converted into half-pitch spaces and entered.
p
When the number entered characters have exceeded the maximum, a
confirmation display to that effect appears. Select “YES” to enter
quoted characters to the maximum extent.

Operations
You can call up and enter, on the Character Entry (Edit)
display, the fixed common phrases pre-installed in the
FOMA phone, or your own created common phrases.
The common phrases are sorted into five folders. 10 fixed
common phrases each are stored in Folder 1 and
Folder 2. You can store 10 own common phrases each in
Folders 3 through 5. You can edit fixed common phrases.

signature, and quotations, do not use half-pitch katakana and pictographs.
(Pictographs can commonly be used between i-mode messages.)
