List of data files you can transfer using infrared rays

1 The total number of files you can send from or receive into the
Phonebook is 700, each for the phone number and mail address.
※
2 You cannot send or receive holidays and anniversaries using infrared
rays.

3 You cannot send or receive some files.
※
4 The file is converted to the vnt file and sent or received.
※
5 You cannot send or receive original animations or the still images in the
“TV image” folder.
When sending or receiving a JPEG file in excess of VGA (640 x 480)
size, it may be shrunk to VGA (640 x 480) size.

6 You cannot send or receive ASF files.
※
7 When sending or receiving bookmarks, the folder-sort setting may not
be reflected depending on the model of the other end.

Phonebook
(Own Number) Receiving one
data file The phone number is stored in the lowest
empty memory number in “010” through
“699” in the Phonebook. If all memory
numbers “010” through “699” are
occupied, the phone number is stored in
the lowest empty memory number in
“000” through “009” (two-touch dial).
Receiving all
data files The phone numbers are stored in the
same memory numbers as the sender’s
end.
Schedule Receiving one
data file The file is stored in the start date/time for
the schedule event.
Receiving all
data files The files are stored in the same date/time
as the sender’s end.
ToDo Receiving one
data file The file is stored in the first position on
the ToDo List.

p For a title of a still image, or moving image, you can send and receive
up to 9 full-pitch or 18 half-pitch characters.
p For a title of a melody, you can send and receive up to 25 full-pitch or
50 half-pitch characters.

If you fail in authenticating or when the file size exceeds the maximum
volume, a warning message appears, disabling you to send or receive
data.
p
It may take long to forward data or you might not be able to receive
data depending on the data size.
p If you connect the FOMA USB Cable (option) to the FOMA phone, you
may not be able to perform infrared exchange.
p Do not switch to Viewer style during sending or receiving. If you switch
to Viewer style, sending or receiving is suspended.
p You cannot send files that are not supported by the device on the
receiving end.
