When you set an alarm for a booked program

If you set an alarm for a booked program, the icon appears on the 
desktop.
“

If you set “Display” of “Main window clock” to “OFF”, or set “Alarm” of 
“Book program” to “OFF”, the icons are not displayed.

When the time specified for a booked program comes

When the specified time comes, the alarm sounds for about five minutes.
During a call, the alarm sounds from the earpiece three times repeatedly. 
The set start date/time, channel, program name and an animation appear 
on the display.

During operations
By “Alarm setting”, you can set the way of notifying during operations.
(See page 375)
“Operation preferred” . . Does not notify during operations.
“Alarm preferred”  . . . . . Always notifies.

When the alarm setting of “Book program” is set to the same time of 
“Alarm”, “ToDo”, or “Schedule”, the notification is made in the order of 
“Alarm”

When the power is turned off
Even when the specified time comes, the booking alarm does not 
sound. The “Missed program” icon is not displayed even after turning 
on the power.

In Manner Mode
When the specified time comes, the vibrator works and the message 
appears. However, the alarm sounds if you have set the operations for 
Manner Mode to “Original” and set “Phone vol.” to other than “Silent” in 
that setting.

p

During All Lock and PIM Lock
Regardless of the setting for “Alarm setting”, the booking alarm does 
not sound even when the specified time comes. After releasing All Lock 
or PIM Lock, the “Missed program” icon appears to inform you of the 
missed booking alarm.

While exchanging to/from SD-PIM
The booking alarm does not sound even when the specified time 
comes, regardless of the setting for “Alarm setting”.
After you finish the SD-PIM operation, the “Missed program” icon is 
displayed.

During UIM operations
The booking alarm does not sound even when the specified time 
comes, regardless of the setting for “Alarm setting”.
After you finish the UIM operation, the “Missed program” icon is 
displayed.

While updating software program
The booking alarm does not sound even when the specified time 
comes, regardless of the setting for “Alarm setting”.
When the specified time comes during updating software program, the  
“Missed program” icon is not displayed even after updating is 
completed.

To clear alarm tone/booking alarm message, and animation from 
the display

Press any key to stop the alarm tone and animation. When “Activate TV 
w/ alarm” is set to “OFF”, press any key again to clear the booking alarm 
message. However, you cannot clear the booking alarm message by 
pressing a side key, with the FOMA phone closed. When a call comes in 
during the alarm notification, the alarm stops sounding and the booking 
alarm message and displayed animation are cleared.

When “Activate TV w/ alarm” is set to “ON”

Press 

 (

 for Viewer style) and select “YES” from the Booking 

Alarm Notification display; then the digital TV starts, and you can watch 
the booked program.
If you start watching the booked program while you are recording a digital 
TV program, the video recorded up to that point is automatically saved; 
then the program booked for watching appears.

When “Booking Alarm Notification” could not be executed

When the booking alarm notification could not be executed, the “Missed 
program” icon appears on the desktop. You can check that icon for the 
details of the missed booking alarm contents (missed program 
information).
The missed program information is for the latest missed program.

and program name that you specified for the program booking 
appear.

not sound when the booked alarm time arrives while the display other 
than the Stand-by display is shown.

When “Alarm setting” is set to “Alarm preferred”, the alarm sounds 
after the other party was called up when the booked alarm time 
arrives while dialing, and it sounds after communications started 
when the booked alarm time arrives while ringing.

If you delete the icon, you cannot check the missed program 
information.
