Multifunction Electrical Tester Calibrator

Theory of Operation

RCD in PAT Function (RCD Board)

Use this function to adjust PAT testers that have an RCD function that measures trip time in

portable RCD breakers such as extension cords. In this function, the Product does not supply

power line voltage. The voltage comes from the DUT. The RCD board contains two FET

switches and a current transformer that senses tripping current that comes from the PAT

tester. This functionality is at the front terminals L - N - Lsense - N sense. A special cable

adapter, RCD - PAT, comes with the Product to simplify the connection between the Product

and a tested PAT. See
