3.3.4 Bus termination with terminating resistors
Please note
Use a bus termination at both ends of a bus segment. This
also applies when the bus module or bus interface is at the
beginning of the bus cable.
If the Local control unit is at the end of the field bus system, a
bus termination is necessary.
Recommendation:
Use here the sub-D plug from Festo (part no. 18529). A suit-
able resistor network is provided in the housing of the sub-D
plug. The bus termination must be switched manually with
slide switches.
