Use this function to activate the EPD adjustment for an empty or full measuring tube.

!

Note!

A detailed description of the empty pipe detection function can be found on Page 46.

Options:

OFF
FULL PIPE ADJUST
EMPTY PIPE ADJUST

Factory setting:

OFF

Procedure for EPD empty pipe / full pipe adjustment

1.

Empty the piping. In case of an EPD adjustment, the wall of the measuring tube
should be wetted with fluid.

2.

Start empty pipe adjustment: Select "EMPTY PIPE ADJUST" and press

F

to confirm.

3.

After empty pipe adjustment, fill the piping with fluid.

4.

Start full pipe adjustment: Select "FULL PIPE ADJUST" and press

F

to confirm.

5.

Having completed the adjustment, select the setting "OFF" and exit the function by
pressing

F

.

6.

Now select the EMPTY PIPE DET. function (see Page 46). Switch on the empty pipe
detection by selecting ON STANDARD and press

F

to confirm.

Caution!

The adjustment coefficients must be valid before you can activate the EPD function. If
adjustment is incorrect the following messages might appear on the display:
– FULL = EMPTY

The adjustment values for empty pipe and full pipe are identical. In such instances,
empty pipe adjustment/full pipe adjustment must be carried out again.

– ADJUSTMENT NOT OK

Adjustment is not possible because the fluid’s conductivity is out of range.
