3.9.1 Setting device parameters for the expansion unit
Carry out the configuration settings for an analog expansion unit in the
IO-DEVICE MODE- INPUT XXXX menu:
Basic requirements:
•
easy800 standard and the expansion unit are connected via the
EASY-LINK-DS connector.
•
Both devices must be connected to the power supply and mounted.
•
easy800 standard must be in STOP mode and the Status display must be
showing.
They are processed in the program using marker words,

Simultaneously press the DEL and ALT buttons with the status display
active.

Select the CONFIGURATOR menu option and press the OK pushbutton.
▶
Now choose the LINK menu item and press the OK button.
The INPUT XXXX or XXX menu item is selected and the lowest parameter
digit flashes.

Use the cursor buttons

to select the digits to be modified, and then
use the

buttons to set the required value. Set the configuration code
accordingly (

After you have carried out the necessary parameter settings, confirm
with the OK pushbutton.
The device switches back to the Status display.
Pressing the ESC pushbutton returns you to the Status display without
changing the parameters.

The EASY4..-DC-ME expansion units can be operated on
easy800 standard from device version 02.

If you select invalid device parameters, e.g. 3334 on
EASY411-DC-ME, and leave the menu with OK, the device
carries out an internal check and then re-opens INPUT XXXX.
It proposes the last valid value as the device parameter, which
you can now change or confirm with OK.
