Note:
A picture that will be used as the background of a communication page must be
stored in the
Images
folder on the device’s main data storage card. If the picture
is not stored on the device, the software will be unable to find it when the page
is opened. If you have not already imported and stored the picture you want to
use, please refer to the steps for
Importing a Digital Picture
in the DynaVox
Series 4 Searchable Help on the CD that came with your DV4/MT4.
6a. In the right viewport of the
Select a Picture File
menu, select the name of the picture
file you want to use.
6b. Select the
OK
button to close the
Select a Picture File
menu. In the
Modify Pages
menu, the name of the file you selected will now be displayed in the
Images
button.
If you choose a new image in this menu, the
Background
check box will be automatically
selected.
7. If you want to use the Autofit feature to enlarge the symbols until they completely fill the
symbol properties, select the
Autofit Buttons
check box.
8. If you want to replace the existing symbols with symbols from a different symbol set, select
the
Symbol Type
pull-down menu and then choose one of the available options:
DynaSyms
Classic
,
DynaSyms
,
PCS
(if available),
System Symbols
or
None
.
9. If you want to modify the location of the labels within the buttons, select the
Label Location
pull-down menu and then select one of the available locations:
Top
and
Bottom
.
10. Most buttons have a vocabulary that either speaks vocabulary or inserts it into the Message
Window. If you want to modify this behavior in the buttons on your selected pages, select the
Change Behaviors From
pull-down menu and then select one of the two available options.
Insert to Speak
Select this option if you want to change all Insert Text and Insert Label behaviors to Speak
Text and Speak Label behaviors.
Speak to Insert
Select this option if you want to change all Speak Text and Speak Label behaviors to Insert
Text and Insert Label behaviors.
11. Select the
OK
button to close the
Modify Pages
menu.
12. Select the
Yes
button to confirm that you want to permanently modify the selected pages.
13. Select the
OK
button to close the
Page Browser
menu.
14. Select the
OK
button to close the
Tools
menu.
