Test Image Selector
TestImageSelector
Selects the type of test image that is sent by the camera.
Beginner
Off
Off Image is from the camera sensor.
Horizontal Ramp
HorizontalRamp Image is filled horizontally with an image that goes from the
darkest possible value to the brightest.
DFNC
Vertical Ramp
VerticalRamp Image is filled vertically with an image that goes from the
darkest possible value to the brightest.
DFNC
Diagonal Ramp Moving
DiagonalRampMoving Image is filled horizontally and vertically with an image that
goes from the darkest possible value to the brightest in
increments of 1 DN increment per pixel and that moves
horizontally from right to left at each frame by one pixel.
DFNC
Fixed Offset
FixedOffset Image is fixed value (64 DN).

Multiple ROI Mode
The Linea2 implements a Multiple ROI Mode, which lets you define up to four horizontal regions of
interest (ROIs). An ROI is defined by its starting offset and the number of horizontal pixels to grab.
The ROIs are combined as one output image, reducing transfer bandwidth requirements.
Note that ROIs cannot overlap.
To define multiple ROIs
•
Set Multiple ROI Mode to
Active
.
•
Set ROI Count Horizontal to the desired number of ROIs.
•
Select an ROI in the ROI Selector feature (ROIs are identified as ROI (x1,y1), ROI (x2,y1),
etc.), and specify:
•
ROI Offset X: the number of pixels to skip from the leftmost pixel.
•
ROI Width: the number of pixels to grab.
•
Repeat for each ROI.
The display will show the combined ROIs. For instance, the following figure depicts a horizontal
ramp test image without ROI, and with 2 ROIs.

Figure 60. (Top) Test image without ROI. The entire width of the sensor is displayed. (Bottom) Multiple ROI
Mode activated with two ROIs: ROI 1 has an offset of 400 pixels and is 800 pixels wide; ROI 2 has an offset of
2912 pixels and is 600 pixels wide. Both ROIs are combined to form an image 1400 pixels wide.
