config gvrp
Purpose
Used to configure GVRP on the Switch.
Syntax
config gvrp [<portlist> | all] {state [enable | disable] | ingress_checking
[enable | disable] | acceptable_frame [tagged_only | admit_all] | pvid
<vlanid 1-4094>}
Description
This command is used to configure the GARP VLAN Registration Protocol on
the Switch. Configurable settings include ingress checking, the sending and
receiving of GVRP information, and the Port VLAN ID (PVID).
Parameters
<portlist>

A port or range of ports for which to configure GVRP. The beginning
and end of the port list range are separated by a dash.
all

Specifies all of the ports on the Switch.
state [enable | disable]
−
Enables or disables GVRP for the ports specified in the
port list.
ingress_checking [enable | disable]
−
Enables or disables ingress checking for
the specified port list.
acceptable_frame [tagged_only | admit_all]
– This parameter states the frame
type that will be accepted by the Switch for this function
. tagged_only
implies
that only VLAN tagged frames will be accepted, while
admit_all
implies tagged
and untagged frames will be accepted by the Switch.
pvid
– Specifies the default VLAN ID associated with the port.
Restrictions
Only administrator-level and operator-level users can issue this command.
Example usage:
To set the ingress checking status, the sending and receiving GVRP information :
DGS-3627:5#config gvrp 1-4 state enable ingress_checking enable
acceptable_frame tagged_only pvid 2
Command: config gvrp 1-4 state enable ingress_checking enable
acceptable_frame tagged_only pvid 2

Note:
In the current firmware version, the PVID for the ports can either be
manually configured by the user or auto assigned when these ports are
added to a VLAN as an untagged member.
enable gvrp
Purpose
Used to enable GVRP on the Switch.
Syntax
enable gvrp
This command, along with
disable gvrp
below, is used to enable
and disable GVRP globally on the Switch, without changing the
GVRP configuration on the Switch.
Description
Parameters None.
Restrictions Only
administrator-level
and operator-level users can issue this
command.
Example usage:
