To configure STP trap settings

Purpose

To set the STP version used by the switch.

Syntax

config stp version [rstp | stp]

Description

The

config stp version

command sets the STP version used by the

switch.

Parameters

rstp –

Rapid spanning tree protocol.

stp –

Spanning tree protocol.

Restrictions

Only administrator-level users can issue this command.

Example usage:

To set STP version to RSTP

: If Spanning Tree protocol is used, loopback detection will not
