1. Check:

Replace
. Measure

Out of specification
Replace the rake
pa s as a set.
Brake pad wear limit
1.0 mm (0.04 in)
3. Install

• pa spring
NOTE:
Always install new brake pads, new brake pad
shims, new insulators, and a new brake pad
spring as a set.
4. Check:

• minimum le el mark

1. Remove:
• rake caliper piston
• ust seal
• caliper piston seal
a. Turn the rake caliper piston counterclockwise
to remo e it.
. Remo e the ust seal an caliper piston seal.
WARNING:
All internal brake components should be
cleaned in new brake fluid only. Do not use
solvents as they will cause seals to swell
and distort.
