CHECKING AND LUBRICATING THE CABLES
WARNING
A dama ed cable sheath may cause corrosion
and interfere with the cable movement. An
unsafe condition may result so replace a
dama ed cable as soon as possible.
1. Check:

Lubricate
or replace.
NOTE
Hold the cable end up and apply several drops
of lubricant to the cable.
2. Apply:

CHECKING AND CHARGING THE BATTERY
WARNING
Batteries generate explosive hydrogen gas and
contain electrolyte which is made of poisonous
and highly caustic sulfuric acid.
Therefore, always follow these preventive
measures:
• Wear protective eye ear when handlin or
working near batteries;
• har e batteries in a well ventilate d area
• eep batteries away from fire sparks or open
flames (e.g., welding equipment, lighted
cigarettes);
• Do not smoke when char in or handlin
batteries;
• keep batteries and electrolyte out of reach of
children;
• Avoid bodily contact with electrolyte as it can
cause severe burns or permanent eye injury;
