FRP 6: Daughter Card Replacement

AC Repair and Adjustment Procedures

2.

Remove the module from the cabinet (refer to

FRP 5

).

3.

Place the module on the ESD-protected workspace and ensure that all
ESD precautions are in place.

4.

Use a 3/32-in. hex driver to remove the 4 retaining screws that hold the
daughter card to the module. (Refer to

Figure 17

.)

5.

Position one leg of the daughter-card removal tool in each of the 4
daughter-card notches, then engage the leg hooks with the daughter-card
cold plate. Refer to

Figure 18

.

NOTE:

You may need to squeeze the top sides of the tool to ensure that
the legs pass through the notches.

6.

Lift the daughter-card removal tool (and daughter card) directly away
from the surface of the module.

7.

Remove the daughter card from the removal tool and place it in an
ESD-protective bag. Ensure that you touch only the sides of the daughter
card.
