Installing a Fiber Termination Assembly
This topic describes how to install a fiber termination assembly on an FAC-3200E GPON or AE fiber distribution bulkhead.
A fiber termination assembly consists of (n) 12-position SC/APC distribution cassettes with pre-terminated OSP fiber, where
cassettes may be bundled in stacks of two, four, eight, or twelve 12-position termination assemblies.
Because the distribution cassettes in each assembly are pre-terminated to an OSP fiber bundle, installation requires simply
mounting the termination assembly on the bulkhead panel and then routing the OSP cable to splice compartment and then
outside of the cabinet (to interface to the outside plant fiber facilities, such as in a fiber hand-hole).

To install a fiber termination assembly

Unpack the fiber termination assembly from the shipping packaging.
Mount the fiber termination assembly to the bulkhead panel as follows:
a.
Feed the fiber pigtail(s) on the back of the distribution cassette through the front of the bulkhead panel.
b.
Slide the termination assembly into the front of the bulkhead panel (single 12-position assembly shown
below).
