Removal  of  Valve  Body  and  Linkage

1.  R em ove detent roller and spring assembly from valve

 

body.  (Figure  7A 5-14)

2.  R em ove  actuator  pin  from   detent  actuator  valve

 

lever  and  rem ove  control  wire  (Figure  7A 5-14).

3.  D isconn ect  wires  from   governor  pressure sw itch  and

 

case  connector  and  rem ove  solenoid.  If  replacem ent  is

 

required  rem ove  governor  pressure  switch.  Inspect  solenoid

 

wires  for  loose  connections  or  cut  insulation.

4.  R em ove  manual  shaft  retainer  clip  w ith  screwdriver

 

(Figure  7A 5-16)  and  slide  manual  shaft  outward  to

 

disconnect  m anual  valve  link.  R em ove  link.

5.  R em ove  valve  body  attaching  bolts  and  valve  body.

T he  interm ediate  servo  can  not  be  removed  until  the

 

band  has  been  removed.
