F3/F3R OWNER’S MANUAL
- 80 -
anti-lock brake system does
not operate, but the brake system still
operates conventionally.
When the “ABS” warning light is on (and the
brake system warning light is
off), the wheels could lock up during a
sudden brake or brake on slippery road
surfaces because the anti-lock brake system
does not operate.
If either of the following conditions occurs,
this indicates that a malfunction somewhere
in the components is monitored by the
warning light system. Contact your BYD
AUTO service station as soon as possible to
check the vehicle.
●
The light does not illuminate or become
solid on when the
ignition key is turned to the
“ON” position.
●
The light comes on while you are
driving.
A warning light turning on briefly during
operation does not indicate a problem.
CAUTION
If the “ABS” warning light remains on
together with the brake system warning
light, immediately park your vehicle at a
safe place and contact your BYD AUTO
service station.
In this case, not only the ABS will fail
but also the vehicle will become
extremely unstable during braking.
(h) Open door warning light
This light remains on until all the side door
and back door are completely closed.
(i) SRS warning light
This light will illuminate when the ignition key
is turned to the “ON” position. After about 5
seconds, the light will go off. This means that
the system of the airbag is operating
properly.
The warning light system monitors the SRS
airbag system ECU, front seat belt
pretensioner assemblies, inflators, warning
light, interconnecting wiring, and power
