RAVE VALVE BA S IC OPERATION

All M odels
T here are no wear parts anywhere in the syste m
and there are no adjust m ents to be periodically
checked. T he only possible m aintenance required
would be cleaning of carbon deposits fro m the
guillotine slide. Cleaning intervals would depend
upon the user
’ s riding style and the quality of the
oil used.
Bo m bardier suggests annual cleaning of the valve.
If a custo m er uses lower quality oil, than reco m -
m ended, m ore frequent cleaning m ay be required.
No special solvents or cleaners are required when
cleaning the valve.
NOTE: Make sure hoses are not kinked or da m -
aged.

All M odels
In its stock configuration, the RAVE valve guillo-
tine has a
m ini m u m of 0. 5 mm (.020 in) clearance
to the cylinder bore m easured at the center line
of the cylinder. T his is the m ini m u m production
clearance.
