In clinical condition such as on a dynamometer,
moving the adjusters up will result in a 150 to 200
RPM increase with each position change. Lowering
the adjuster positions will result in a decrease of
150 to 200 RPM with each number. On the snow-
mobile, however, depending on the operating con-
ditions, a change of one adjuster position may not
show up on the tachometer, but the shift speed of
the pulley will have changed. The upshift or down-
shift, depending on which way you moved the ad-
justers, will be faster and your acceleration rate and
top speed will have changed. When using the TRA
adjusters, the acceleration rate and speed should
be checked as well as the engine RPM.
