Heat up the bearing(s) using bearing heater
(P/N
5 29 03 5 969). T his will expand bearings
and ease installation. If required, put a suitable
plate or shi
m to avoid the direct contact between
integrated seal with the heating surface.

CAUTION: Beari n g(s) should n ot be heated to
m ore tha n 8 0°C (176°F). Do n ot heat beari n g(s)
o n direct fla m e, or with a heat gu n or i n a n
oil bath. I n appropriate beari n g(s) heati n g m ay
result i n i nn er seals or cage failure.
T urn bearing several ti m es to obtain an even heat-
ing process.
NOTE: Nor m ally it takes approxi m ately 10 m in-
utes to heat up a bearing so in the event of replac-
ing bearing, it
’ s reco mm ended to start the bearing
heating process prior to re m oval operation. T wo
bearings can be heated at the sa m e ti m e on one
bearing heater.

1. Bearings
Probe the inner race of the bearing with the te m -
perature indicator stick (P/N 5 29 03 5 970). Stick
will liquefy when the bearing reach the proper
te
m perature

WARNING
Do n ot touch heated beari n g with bare ha n ds.
Always wear heat resisti n g gloves before
ha n dli n g the heated beari n g(s).
Slide in the inner P T O bearing with the integrated
seal facing crankshaft. Push bearing to end posi-
tion.
