This carburetor has pressed-in jets
that are not serviceable. Do not attempt to
remove the jets.
To clean carburetor:

15. Connect other end of jumper wires to a
new 9 volt transistor ba ttery.
The plunger nee dle ([

If not:
• Replace the solenoid.

Assembly
1. If separated, place the throttle return
spring ([

] Fig. 140) inside the large foam
seal (

).
2. Slide the seal and spring on to the choke
shaft (

) with the top of the spring (

contacting the choke shaft lever ([

3. Turn the choke shaft ccw while gently
pushing it into the carburetor body until
the bottom end of the spring (

) rests on
the back of the spring pe rch ([

4. Lift the choke shaft up slightly and
continue turning ccw until the stop (

the lever clears the spring perch ([
