7.1 Unpacking
CAUTION
Parts falling out!
Risk of injury! When you open the packaging improperly, parts may fall out and
cause injury or damage parts.

Place the packaging on a flat and solid surface.
▶
Only open the packaging from the top.
The SYEPS punching system is shipped in an anti-corrosion foil made of polyethylene
materials.
▶
Dispose of the packaging according to the national regulations of your country.
7.2 Installation conditions
7.2.1 For the HNC100
▶
When installing the HNC100, strictly adhere to the ambient conditions specified
in data sheet 30139.
NOTICE
: Keep the surroundings free from electrically conductive contamination
(acids, bases, corrosive agents, salts, metal vapors, etc.) and do not expose the
device to these substances.

Generally rule out any deposits according to protection class IP 20.
The HNC100 is intended for mounting on mounting rails in the control cabinet. The
dimensions of the individual variants are given in data sheet 30139.

Before commissioning, make sure that all the seals and plugs of the plug-in
connections are correctly installed to ensure that they are leakproof and fluids
and foreign particles are prevented from entering the product.
7.2.2 For the SYEHL punching axis

When installing the SYEHL punching axis, observe the operating conditions as
specified in data sheet 30200.
▶
Install the SYEHL punching axis in a punching machine in a way that a hood or
cover and an oil drip tray reliably prevent environmental pollution.
For dimensions, see Table 15 “Dimensions and weights“ on page 30. Installation
drawings with a detailed description of interfaces of the individual variants can be
obtained separately. The detailed unit dimensions are shown in data sheet 30200.
When determining the space requirement, also take account of the installation
orientation “vertical, piston downwards”. An illustration and a more detailed
description can be found in Chapter 7.3, „Installation orientation and piping of
SYEHL punching axes“ on page 35.
When installing the power unit, provide sufficient circulation of air. The machine
paneling must not affect the circulation of air so that the cooling capacity would be
reduced. Mount the power unit on a solid floor with sufficient load-carrying capacity.
