Axis cannot approach PTE
Referencing was carried out with incorrect
settings. The axis therefore references to the
lower positive stop.
R499 must be < -0.5 V. The typical value is -1.00 V.
Check, whether the axis can be operated in open
loop control. Check the function of the high-
response valve by open-loop controlled operation
with the HNC100 in operating mode 33 or with VT-
VET-1. If the high-response valve properly follows
the command value in the case of both, a small
valve aperture (slow operation) and large valve
aperture (fast operation), the valve is ok.
Otherwise, change the pilot valve first. If no
improvement is observed, replace the high-
response valve.
If the high-response valve is ok, repeat referencing.

Transmission of no or incorrect
values over Profibus
Inconsistent data transmission in the PLC
Due to inconsistent data transmission in the PLC
while writing data words to the Profibus, incorrect
values may be sent.
If the value to be sent over Profibus to the
HNC100 is outside the value range permitted
by the HNC100, the value is not accepted and
the error bit in the 2nd data word of Profibus
communication is set.
By inserting a B variable in the place of the
incorrect R parameter you can check with the help
of the diagnosis window in WIN-PED®, which value
actually arrives on the HNC100 side. B variables
are not checked, but always taken over directly.
After the B variable was inserted in the place of
the R parameter in the Bus manager, the new
configuration data must be sent to the HNC100
and the HNC100 be reset. To this end, switch the
hydraulics off. After the reset, add the B variable in
the diagnosis window in order that the value can
be monitored in the online mode in WIN-PED®.
After a new operating mode was
transmitted over Profibus, the
HNC100 issues the error message
“impermissible operating mode”.
Error in the PLC program – an impermissible
value is transmitted.
