7. Decommissioning
7.1
Relocation
Heed the following if the EPS 200 is to be relocated:
R
Disconnect the electrical connection.
R
Disconnect the pneumatic connection.
R
Drain test oil from the test oil tank (see section 6.2.5,
steps 1 to 8).
R
Replace the transport protection on the drive unit
(see section 4.3).
R
Only transport the EPS 200 in a crate.
When selling or transferring the EPS 200, all of the
documentation supplied must be included.
7.2
Scrapping
The test oil contained in the EPS 200 must be drained
before scrapping. The pipe filter at the flowmeter, the
intake filter in the test oil tank and the filter mats for
external extraction in the jet chamber unit must also be
removed and disposed of.
i
Oils are water polluting fluids and they must be
disposed of in accordance with waste disposal laws.
Test oil complying with ISO 4113 is a category 1 oil.
This category contains low viscosity and mineral oil
that can be reconditioned. Waste oil category 1 must
not contain any foreign substances, e.g. waste oils
belonging to another category, or gasoline.
Disposal of the test oil should be carried out by a
commercial oil disposal specialist in return for a fee.
The associated waste code number 54112 must be
specified in order to guarantee proper disposal.
7.3
Disposal
This EPS 200 is subject to European guide-
lines 2002/96/EG (WEEE).
Old electrical and electronic devices, includ-
ingcables and accessories or batteries must
be
disposed of separate to household waste.
¶
Please use the return and collection sys-
tems in place for disposal in your area.
¶
Damage to the environment and hazards
to personal health are prevented by prop-
erly disposing of EPS 200.
