Electrical connection
!
The EPS 200 may only be connected to a grounded,
symmetrical three-phase power supply (400 Volt or
200 Volt) with a three-phase connector. The 230 Volt
basic unit must be protected by a 32 Amp fuse and
the 400 Volt basic unit by a 16 Amp fuse. Note the
information on the rating plate on the rear of the
EPS 200 unit. The three-phase power supply must
also be fuse protected by an FI switch with a rated
fault current of 30 mA.
4.4.1
EPS 200 / 200 V basic unit
1.
The country-specific three-phase connector should
be fitted by a qualified electrician (see electrical
circuit diagram).
2.
Plug the EPS 200 in to the three-phase power supply.
4.4.2
EPS 200 / 400 V basic unit
¶
Plug the EPS 200 in to the three-phase power supply.
4.5
Connecting the compressed air /
external extractor
1.
Set the compressed air on the maintenance unit to
between 0.5 MPa and 0.8 MPa.
2.
Connect the compressed air to the rear of the unit
(Fig. 2, Pos. 1).
3.
When using an external extractor, connect this to the
outlet (Fig. 1, Pos. 5).
i
We recommend connecting an oil mist extraction
and filter unit to the EPS 200.
4.6
Adding test oil
!
If the test oil is added too quickly, it is possible that
it will run out of the upward facing flushing outlet or
the connection for the external extractor.
1.
Turn the flushing outlet (Fig. 3, Pos. 5) upwards.
2.
Pour the test oil (ISO 4113) into the jet chamber
(Fig. 3, Pos. 2) very slowly and carefully. The test oil
tank holds around 6.5 liters.
3.
Add test oil until it reaches the upper marking in the
oil level display (Fig. 1, Pos. 9).
The EPS 200 is ready for operation.
i
After the first DHK/UI or CRI/CRIN test, the oil level in
the oil level display falls as the test oil is distributed
into the hydraulic lines in the EPS 200. Check the oil
level after the first test and top up if necessary.
