MULTIPORT SPOOLER VIII (4-, 8-, and 12-Port Models)
To avoid overwriting the original version of the UCTP when you save the
altered version, make a copy of the original version and give it a different
filename. (UCTP files can have any filename, but must have the “.PRO”
extension.) After you save the altered UCTP, you can rename the altered
version and give the original version its old name back.
Users who have copied or created different UCTPs can load the version
they choose by selecting Load from the Windows UCTP Menu. You will be
prompted to choose a .PRO file from the list of available versions.

• Under DOS, run the program by pressing its hotkey combination (if it
is loaded as a TSR) or by running it at the DOS prompt (in nonresident
mode). Under Windows, select the UCTP icon in the MPSWIN window.
• Make sure that the token is set to 0 if you are sending a command to the
closest Multiport Spooler VIII.
• Make sure that the selected PC output port is actually connected to the
MPS-VIII.
• Select the command to be transmitted, and enter the parameters as
required.
