Use this screen to choose the type of UCTP you want to install: Default or
Advanced. The two types are similar in many ways, but Advanced offers more
commands. Basically, you should select the Default menu if you are using the
default Multiport Spooler VIII configuration, and the Advanced menu if you
have specially configured the unit (in particular, changed some output ports
to input ports, or vice versa).
Default
: The printer selection of the Default UCTP menu matches that of
the default configuration of your Multiport Spooler VIII. The default output
ports are those numbered 4, 8, and 12. The Default UCTP menu has four
commands that each allow you to directly select one of these printers (for
example, “Use First Printer”). With the other commands on the menu, you
can:
• Modify the timeout,
• Cancel your jobs,
• Activate or deactivate form feed,
• Define and activate or deactivate headers, and
• Send a string.
