APPENDIX D: Sending Direct Commands to the MPS-VIII
/D
return to Default port configuration
Use this command to reset to their defaults several port-configuration
parameters of the Multiport Spooler VIII input port connected to your PC.
This command resets these parameters:
• Links between ports or groups of ports are deactivated. The first port
available becomes active (
/P*
).
• Form feed for the port is deactivated.
• Any header defined for the port is deactivated.
• Any pause set for the port is deactivated.
• The timeout for the port returns to 6 seconds.
• The number of copies is set to 1.
Format
@@/D@
Resets to their default settings the above-listed parameters of the current
MPS-VIII input port.
/F
set automatic Form Feed
Use this command to have a form feed automatically sent at the end of all
jobs from your input port. The form feed is sent after the timeout expires.
Format
@@/F1@
Activates sending form feeds at the end of each job from
this port.
@@/F0@
Deactivates sending form feeds at the end of each job from
this port.
You can use
/F
when screen capturing (screen printing). To do this, activate
automatic form feed with
/F
. Simultaneously press the Shift and Print Screen
keys on your keyboard to capture the screen image. A form feed is generated
after each screen capture, so you get one screen per page. If several screens
must be sent, one after the other, set the timeout to 1 second (see the entry
for the
/T
command) so that it will expire quickly enough to allow each
screen printout to be separated from the next by a form feed.
