APPENDIX C: Software Files and Utilities
SETUPWIN.EXE
Configuration program for changing MPSWIN operation parameters.
You can access this program by selecting the Config icon in the MPSWIN
Applications window. Refer to
Chapter 6
for information about this program.
SMODE.COM
Allows you to set the serial communication parameters of your PC’s serial port
(see
Appendix D
for more information on this program).
UCTP.PRO
Contains Multiport Spooler VIII control commands. This is the command file
addressed by the UCTP program when you choose the Advanced menu
during the installation. You can modify this file as described in
Appendix E
.
NOTE
Under Windows, the commands this file contains will vary depending on
whether you install the Default or Advanced menu.
UCTP_4.PRO

UCTP_8.PRO

UCTP_12.PRO
Contains some Multiport Spooler VIII control commands. This is the default
command file addressed by the UCTP program when you choose Default
during the installation. You can modify this file as described in
Appendix E

Under Windows, whether you chose Advanced or Default installation, the
file is renamed UCTP.PRO.
UCTPEGA.EXE

The actual UCTP engines. Which one you should use depends on which type
of display adapter (graphics card) is installed in your PC. The last three letters
before .EXE in each filename indicate the type of display adapter each file
supports: EGA, VGA, CGA, or HER (for Hercules).
