Instruction
Check and make sure that the connector
of the warning lamp is inserted well and that
the bulb works.
Disconnect the ECM and proceed to
location test 1.
Disconnect the warning lamp, proceed to
test 4.
Possible cause
MIL system damaged
Open or short circuit to the
chassis
Short circuit at the positive
battery pole (+)

Instruction
Disconnect the warning lamp and proceed
to test 2
Restore the fault, proceed to test 5
Proceed to test 3
Locate and rectify the cable fault, proceed
to test 5
Procedere al test 4
Locate and rectify the cable fault, proceed
to test 5
Proceed to test 5
Locate and rectify the cable fault, proceed
to test 5
Activity carried out – terminate the test

Test
1 - Check the integrity of the terminal
and the cable:
- ECM pin 1/D4
2 - Check the cable for short circuiting:
- ECM pin 1/D4 to the frame
3 - Check the continuity of the cable:
- instrument pin 15 to ECM pin 1/D4
4 - Check for short circuiting:
- ECM pin 1/D4 to ECM pin 2/E1
- Instrument pin 5 to instrument pin

5 - Reconnect the cabling, cancel the
fault code and activate the engine
to check the elimination of the fault
