Instruction
Check and note the data on the display of
the diagnostic instrument (see Axone
instruction manual) if available.
Make sure that the connector of the relati-
ve ignition coil is inserted correctly.
Disconnect the ECM and proceed to
location test 1.
Disconnect the relative ignition coil and
proceed to location test 5.
Possible cause
Ignition system damaged –
ignition coil 2/1/3
Open or short circuit –
ignition coil 2/1/3
Short circuit at the positive
battery pole (+) - ignition coil
2/1/3

Proceed to test 2
Repair the fault, proceed to test 7
Disconnect the relative coil and proceed to
test 3
Procedere al test 4
Disconnect the relative coil and proceed to
test 5
Proceed to test 7
Locate and rectify the cable fault, proceed
to test 7
Proceed to test 6
Locate and rectify the cable fault, proceed
to test 7

Test
1 - Check the integrity of the terminal
and the cable:
- ECM pin 2/H1
- ECM pin 2/H2
- ECM pin 2/H4
2 - Check the resistance value:
- ECM pin 1/H4 at:
- ECM pin 2/H1 (ignition coil 2)
- ECM pin 2/H4 (ignition coil 1)
- ECM pin 2/H2 (ignition coil 3)
3 - Check the cable for short circuiting:
- ECM pin 2/H1 at the chassis
- ECM pin 2/H2 at the chassis
- ECM pin 2/H4 at the chassis
4 - Check the continuity of the P1H4
cable with each ignition coil pin 2:
Supply pin 8 of the relay block with
each ignition coil pin.
- ECM pin 2/H1 at pin 1 of ignition coil

- ECM pin 2/H4 at pin 1 of ignition coil
1
- ECM pin 2/H2 at pin 1 of ignition
coil 3
