Maintenance
Daily
▪
Start every washday with a “Test Wash” to ensure proper operation of all equipment.
▪
Inspect the SpinLite® Full Side Washer Assemblies overall; for damaged or missing foam on
cleaning hubs, loose bolts that may cause wobbling, and worn bearings.
▪
Inspect the component for clogged nozzles. Nozzles can be cleaned by removing the nozzle
bodies and tapping or inserting a thin wire into the nozzle opening.
▪
Check overall performance for any abnormalities.
▪
Hose down the component and surrounding area to remove the majority of the dirt and other debris
that builds up during the washday.
▪
Check for water, chemical, and air leaks after the equipment is turned OFF.
▪
Check all hydraulic hose connections for leaks.
Monthly
▪
Inspect
ShineMitt™ cleaning material on hubs for wear or damage, replace as needed.
▪
Grease Arm Pivot Bearings (2 per unit) and Drive Shaft Bearings (2 per unit) using marine grease.
Note:
Before GREASING and after GREASING wipe off all bearing seal surfaces and Zerks. Grease
should only be applied until water is pushed out and bearings seals start to swell.
▪
Apply Fluid Film Rust and Corrosion Preventative spray liberally to Arm Pivot Bearings (2 per unit).
▪
Powder Coated Frame: Wash the component frame, refer to Powder Coating Maintenance.
Quarterly
▪
Aluminum Frame: Scrub down aluminum portions of the component with fine steel wool such as
S.O.S. pads and wash with a good degrimer such as Tide laundry detergent and hot water.
Whenever using steel wool on aluminum, always follow the grain to prevent scratching the finish.
