Electrical Connections: Main Power to Motors and LED Lights
The driver side and passenger side SpinLite® Full Side Washer each have a 1HP 3-Phase motor that
comes wired for either 208/230, 460, or 575 VAC which was specified when the equipment was
ordered. And, each SpinLite® FSW has a Slip Ring that powers the LED Lights on the Hub assembly.
Connecting Motor Cables to the Motors
1) The Motor and LED Electrical Cables have been routed from the Arm assemblies through the
Conduit and up into the Motor Covers during installation.
2) Remove the cover on the Motor Electrical Box, route the Motor Cable through the Cord Grip
on the Motor and secure the four (4) wire leads then reattach the Motor Cover.
3) Reattach the top cover onto the Motor/Gearbox Cover.
Connecting Motors and LED Lights to the Main Power
1) The Motor and LED Electrical Cables have been pre-routed through the Arm assemblies and
during installation these Cables were routed into the Electrical Junction Box on the Leg
assemblies.
2) Run the Main Power Lines out to each of the SpinLite® FSW assemblies and make the wire
connections to the Motor Cable and LED Cable inside the Junction Boxes.
3) When everything is wired properly, close and seal the Junction Boxes be cautious to not crimp
down on any of the wires.
Note:
The electrical connections are made with either heat shrink butt splices or dielectric grease
wire nuts.
Note:
Make sure electrical box penetrations are made with an approved method for wet conditions.
A proper cord grip should be used and installed correctly and a drip loop on incoming cables
is recommended to avoid any water intrusion.
Note:
Be sure to follow local electrical codes when choosing wiring materials and when routing
electrical wires.
