A system that integrates O

devices is referred to as “OmniBus configuration” further on in this
document. In a monolithic system the OmniBus configuration consists of a P
ROCESSOR
that connects to up to four
or five O

A18 devices. The P
ROCESSOR
is the host computer of the O

US
devices. It is run-
ning the operating system and applications and controls the O
MNI
B
US
devices where the graphical output is gen-
erated and integrated with the video and RGB insertion data.
Such a monolithic system allows to control up to 320 sources or 80 projection modules with the ability to display
video and RGB windows anywhere on the wall. Even larger display walls can be setup, if video and RGB is only
displayed on parts of the wall.
Medium sized systems can be set up with a
P
ROCESSOR
and one single O

Processor configuration - monolithic system
Small systems with one up to 12 projection cubes can be set up with a single P
ROCESSOR
, depending on the
amount of video and RGB sources an additional E
XTENDER
might be used; this setup is called “Processor configura-
tion”.
