Backing up the system
General
In this procedure, you will back up your system con

guration to a USB drive.
Prerequisite
•
Ensure that you are familiar with the
USB device (Backup/Restore) Menu
. For details on this menu, please refer to chapter
"System menu > USB device (Backup/Restore)", page 72.
Back up a system con

Use the following steps to back up your system to a USB Drive:
1. Insert a formatted
fl
ash drive in the unit’s front-panel USB port.
2. From the
System
menu, scroll to the
USB Backup/Restore
submenu. Select
Backup

g.
The
USB Backup Con
fi
g
submenu appears. The navigation cursor appears at the default name for the
fi
rst backup
fi
le.
3. If you wish to change the default name of the backup con
fi
guration, press
SEL
. Use the
ADJUST
knob to change the name, as
described in section "Using menu system", page 66. Press
SEL
again when you complete the name change.
4. Scroll to
Backup Con
fi
g
and press
SEL
.
A con
fi
rmation message appears when the backup is complete.
