3.3.3 Configuring XM3-HP for XTV 18V4 Batteries
To configure XTV 18V4 batteries used with an XM3-HP Power Supply, follow the procedure below:
XTV 18V4 Battery Configuration from Operation Normal Screen:
From the OPERATION NORMAL screen, press
BATT
softkey to access the BATTERY INFO MENU.
Press
ENTR
to open the BATT CONFIG MENU.
Press Down arrow to move BATT MODEL to top line of display.
Press
ENTR
to open selection function.
Press
UP
or
DOWN
arrows to move through the list of available batteries. Select 100XTV if listed.
Press
ENTR
(“New Data Accepted” confirmation appears)
Default values for BATT CAPACITY, FLOAT, ACCEPT and Temp Comp will be automatically set.
Press
ESC
twice to return to main screen.
XTV 18V4 Battery Configuration from Active Alarm Screen:
From Active Alarm screen (with ALM BATT indicated)
Press ALM BATT softkey
Press
DOWN
arrow to place BATT INFO at top line of display.
Press
ENTR
to open BATT INFO screen
Press
ENTR
to open BATT CONFIG menu
Press Down arrow to move BATT MODEL to top line of display
Press
ENTR
to open selection function
Press
UP
or
DOWN
arrows to move through the list of available batteries. Select 100XTV if listed.
Press
ENTR
(“New Data Accepted” confirmation appears)
Default values for BATT CAPACITY, FLOAT, ACCEPT and Temp Comp will be automatically set.

twice to return to main screen.
OTHER Battery from Operation Normal or Alarm Screen:
If the 100XTV battery is not listed, press the
UP

DOWN
arrows to OTHER
Press
ENTR
(“New Data Accepted” confirmation appears)
Press
DOWN
arrow to BATT CAPACITY line
Press
ENTR
to enable change
Make changes (enter values from Table 3-3) with
UP
or
DOWN
arrow keys
When correct, press
ENTR
(“New Data Accepted” confirmation appears)
Repeat for FLOAT, ACCEPT, and TEMP COMP
Press
ESC
twice to return to main screen.
After selecting OTHER, manually
enter these values for each item.
ALPHACELL = OTHER
BATT CAPACITY = 55Ah
Float V/C= 2.35
ACCEPT V/C = 2.25
Temp Comp = 3.3mV

18V4XTV is a selectable option from the BATT MODEL list for XM3 Power Supplies configured with Platform 14
firmware.
