Protocol
- Select the data output protocol of your device. In the vast majority of cases this means
NMEA.
Port
- Select which COM port your device is attached to. If you want to replay a file select

GPS devices connected via a cable send data through COM1. GPS HI 203 Compact Flash is virtually
mapped the a higher port, the number varies from PDA to PDA. For example, on iPAQ 36xx it tends
to be COM4, iPAQ 38xx COM5 and on 39xx COM6.
Set the speed etc. at which your GPS unit communicates -
Baud rate, Byte size, Parity
and
Stop bits
.
In most cases you want to keep it as default 4800/8/none/1.5.
Check for position every -
Select how often you want your position to be updated on the map. One
second is the lowest time interval (the highest update frequency).
