5.17 Battery switch
With the battery switch, you can disconnect the bat-
teries from the machine.
Disconnect the batteries from the machine:
•
If the machine is not used for more than two
weeks.
•
Before you do any work on the electrical
system.
•
Before you do any electric welding.
Condor 5:
1.
Turn the engine off and take the ignition key with you.
2.
Wait 10 minutes. While you wait:
•
Data is stored in the engine control unit.
•
The DEF is circulated to cool the DEF injector.
•
The DEF lines are emptied to prevent frost damage.
3.
Turn the key of the battery switch anticlockwise and remove the key.
NOTICE
If you turn the key too soon, a system error will occur and the engine will no
longer start. In this case, you need a service engineer of the engine manu-
facturer to reset the system.
Condor 3 and 4:
1.
Turn the engine off and take the ignition key with you.
2.
Wait 2 minutes. While you wait:
•
Data is stored in the engine control unit.
•
The DEF lines are emptied to prevent frost damage.
3.
Turn the key of the battery switch counterclockwise and remove the key.
NOTICE
If you turn the key too soon, a system error will occur and the engine will no
longer start. In this case, you need a service engineer of the engine manu-
facturer to reset the system.
Condor 2:
1.
Turn the engine off and take the ignition key with you.
2.
Wait 18 seconds.
While you wait, data is stored in the engine control unit.
3.
Turn the key of the battery switch counterclockwise and remove the key.
NOTICE If you turn the key too soon, a system error will occur and the engine will no
longer start. In this case, you need a service engineer of the engine manu-
facturer to reset the system.
