6.45 Winter storage
Procedure:
1. Rinse the sprayer with clean water and drain the water. The clean water tank and the spray
tank must be empty.
2. Dirt retains moisture and causes rust. Clean the sprayer with a pressure washer. Do not
point the water jet at bearings or electrical components.
3. Park the sprayer in a dry, frost-free area. Do not park the sprayer near fertilizer.
4. Disconnect the batteries from the machine (  86 ).
5. Place the sprayer on blocks to take the load off the tires.
6. Drain the water condensate from the compressed air tanks.
7. Repair paint damage.
8. Protect bare metal parts with an anti-corrosive.
9. Do the points under “At the start of winter storage” in the Maintenance schedule (

152 ).
10. Order all parts that have to be replaced. Install the parts when they arrive.
Extra procedure if the sprayer is not parked in a dry, frost-free area:
1. Unscrew the pipes.
2. With electric section valves: unscrew the pipes below the section valves.
3. Operate all valves 10 times.
4. Drain all the pipes.
5. Remove the batteries and store them in a dry, frost-free area.
