6.29 Wheel gearboxes
Check the oil level after every 200
operating hours.
Change the oil (
148
) after the first
100–150 operating hours and then
1x per year.
Drain the oil when it is warm. Dis-
pose of the oil in accordance with
local regulations.
NOTICE
Clean the area around the oil plugs before you remove them.
NOTICE
Contact your dealer if there are metallic parts with unusual dimensions on the
magnetic oil plugs.
NOTICE
Contact your dealer in case of problems. Do not try to repair a defective gear-
box yourself.
WARNING
Turn the engine off (and take the ignition key with you) before leaving the cab.
Use rubber gloves.
The air in the gearbox can be under some pressure. Carefully remove the oil
plugs and let the air escape.
