Generic communication function for Measured Value (SPGAPC) function is used to send one
single logical output to other systems or equipment in the substation. It has one visible input,
that should be connected in ACT tool.

There are no settings available for the user for SPGAPC. However, PCM600 must be used to get
the signals sent by SPGAPC.

Generic communication function for Measured Value MVGAPC function is used to send the
instantaneous value of an analog signal to other systems or equipment in the substation. It
can also be used inside the same IED, to attach a RANGE aspect to an analog value and to
permit measurement supervision on that value.

The settings available for Generic communication function for Measured Value (MVGAPC)
function allows the user to choose a deadband and a zero deadband for the monitored signal.
Values within the zero deadband are considered as zero.
The high and low limit settings provides limits for the high-high-, high, normal, low and low-
low ranges of the measured value. The actual range of the measured value is shown on the
range output of MVGAPC function block. When a Measured value expander block (RANGE_XP)
