Login Users
To access or modify the configurable settings of the OfficeConnect
Gateway, a user must have a valid User Name, Password, and Privilege
level. This section describes how to create, modify, assign privileges, and
delete User Accounts for the OfficeConnect Gateway.
To create, modify or delete users for the OfficeConnect Gateway, you
must have Administrator privilege.
Types of User
Accounts
Two types of User Accounts can be created for accessing the
configuration options of the OfficeConnect Gateway:
■
Administrator
■
Manager
Administrator
A user with Administrator privilege has access to all configurable
parameters of the OfficeConnect Gateway. An Administrator can access
and modify both LAN and WAN settings.
Service Providers may, at their discretion, allow a user with Administrator
privilege access to the CLI (Command Line Interface) of the
OfficeConnect Gateway. The CLI is used by Service Providers to customize
the settings of the OfficeConnect Gateway. From the CLI, you can run
custom configuration scripts, modify the factory default settings, and
configure the OfficeConnect Gateway.
For most users, there will be no need to use the CLI, since the web-based
management feature of the OfficeConnect Gateway allows users to
configure, manage, and administer the OfficeConnect Gateway directly
from a web browser.
The CLI is accessed by initiating a Console Telnet session from the
OfficeConnect Gateway
web page or by using a terminal emulation
program such as HyperTerminal or Telnet from your workstation.
